Overview

Hina Gojima focuses her practice on employment discrimination disputes. She also has commercial litigation experience involving insurance, contract, business torts, antitrust, and intellectual property disputes. Additionally, she has led internal investigations and compliance trainings on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act/UK Bribery Act.

Hina has an active pro bono practice that includes issues related to immigration, employment discrimination, family law, death penalty, and parole representation. In 2022, Hina received the Above & Beyond Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Advocacy from Sanctuary for Families in connection with her representation of a domestic violence survivor.

  • Represents an over five thousand member plaintiff class in the remedial phase of a Title VII class action.
  • Represented a survivor of domestic violence in Family Court, obtaining modifications to a custody agreement to allow for interstate relocation, suspension of visitation, and an order of protection against the abuser.
  • Filed an amicus brief on behalf of a group of constitutional law professors in Nance v. Ward, a U.S. Supreme Court case concerning a death row prisoner’s Eighth Amendment right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment.
