- Provided advice in connection with NHTSA inquiry regarding Takata airbag recalls.
- Represented a leading tire manufacturer in conducting a worldwide recall of certain tire models, guiding the reporting efforts in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Australia, as well as advising on notice and reporting obligations in Central and South America, Africa, and Asia.
- Represented clients in connection with three of the largest automotive recalls in U.S. history.
- Achieved dismissal on the pleadings for an automotive entity in pathbreaking “hackability” litigation at the federal 9th Circuit.
- Representation of equipment manufacturers in connection with recalls of vehicle accessories including car chargers, fire extinguishers, and appliances such as microwaves and refrigerators in recreational vehicles.
- Representation of several equipment manufacturers with regard to whether incidents were reported regarding their products’ instances of noncompliance with an FMVSS.
- Representation of a major Tier 1 equipment manufacturer with regard to upgrading their compliance program to meet NHTSA reporting obligations.
- Represented a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of aluminum wheels in NHTSA proceedings.
