Overview

Toni Michelle Jackson is a first-chair litigator whose extensive jury and bench trial experience is informed by over 15 years of government service. Clients rely on her to marshal the evidence presented during discovery and either win their case at summary judgment or try the case and win at trial. In particular, she leads class/collective actions, multidistrict litigations, and supports clients with State Attorneys General matters.

Toni frequently represents clients in federal courts across the country whose business interests require frequent interaction with government agencies. Drawing from her rich experience as Senior Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, in the Employment Litigation Section of the Civil Rights Division to counsel, she represents clients on commercial litigation, labor and employment and regulatory enforcement matters.

Prior to joining Crowell, Toni served as Deputy Attorney General in the District of Columbia Office of Attorney General (OAG). In this role, she acted as co- or lead counsel in several bench and jury trials alleging violations of federal and D.C. laws. Toni routinely negotiated successful resolutions of significant cases for the District of Columbia and participated in dozens of mediations to achieve the best results for her client. While at OAG, Toni received the Attorney General’s Award for Outstanding Head of a Division in recognition of her significant contributions in the areas of leadership, service, and training.

Toni began her career as a law clerk to the Hon. Gerald W. Heaney of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Duluth, Minnesota. She later clerked for the Hon. John M. “Jack” Mason (Mag.) of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota in St. Paul. Toni is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.
