Overview

Tim Shadyac is a senior director in Crowell & Moring’s Government Affairs Group, where he assists clients in developing legislative and regulatory strategies designed to complement broader business interests. For more than 10 years, Tim has helped clients navigate Congress, the White House, and key federal regulatory agencies in order to anticipate, understand, and shape consensus-driven public policy solutions. He has a background in and has focused on health care policy throughout his career, but he also advises clients on matters related to international trade, including tariffs and the supply chain, artificial intelligence, digital technology, and other legislative areas impacting new and emerging industries.

Prior to joining Crowell, Tim worked in a variety of health care sector settings. Most recently, he advised clients at Avalere Health, a D.C.-based health policy consultancy where Tim specialized in matters of importance to the life sciences industry and worked closely with various patient advocacy groups. His practice at Avalere also included scenario planning around potential outcomes of presidential and congressional elections, drug pricing policy, and Medicare Part D benefit design. Tim also served in federal government affairs, public policy, and advocacy roles at Sanofi, the French multinational pharmaceutical and health care company. There, he monitored and analyzed federal health policy to assess the business impact and developed strategies in response.

Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Kenyon College and is currently a part-time MBA candidate at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
