Overview

Michael represents clients in Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act (FSIA) and Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) litigation, complex international arbitrations, defamation, and healthcare fraud litigations. His clients include financial services and healthcare companies, as well as individuals and large groups of individuals. He maintains a pro bono practice with a focus on child custody cases and assisting survivors of domestic violence.

While in law school, Michael was on the Executive Board for the Michigan Journal of International Law, President of the Society for Space Law and Law of the Sea, and a Campbell Moot Court and Manfred Lachs Moot Court competitor. Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, he externed with the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s office at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickham and interned for the Hon. Judge Paul Friedman. Before law school, Michael worked in the Marshal’s Office at the Supreme Court of the United States.
