Maura Connell Brandt
Overview
Maura brings more than 30 years of law firm marketing experience to her role as Chief Marketing Officer. Throughout her career, she has been involved in many aspects of a law firm’s business, including strategy setting and positioning, geographic expansion, client development, communications, practice structure and support, and knowledge management. In particular, her focus has been on developing and implementing collaborative programs to strengthen and add value to client relationships, raising a firm’s profile through strategic and differentiated branding, public relations and thought leadership, and leveraging technology and diverse business data to inform client development strategies and investments.
Maura has led significant results-driven projects in areas, including client feedback, re-branding and positioning, and experience and relationship management. In addition, she has been part of the leadership team driving firm-wide initiatives that facilitated coordinated and strategically aligned efforts across legal and administrative teams to strengthen firm performance and deliver enhanced value to clients.
Prior to joining Crowell, she served as the first chief marketing officer of two Am Law 100 firms, an Am Law 25 global firm and a leading boutique firm. Maura has spoken at industry conferences on a variety of business development, branding, and knowledge management topics. She served as president of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) Mid-Atlantic Chapter and co-chair of the National LMA Education Committee.
