Overview

Chris Gundermann is an accomplished policy advisor with a background in public policy, international trade, and economic development. Chris has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive strategic initiatives and foster meaningful relationships across diverse sectors.

Chris has a distinguished career in economic policy and trade, previously serving as a Policy Advisor at the Economic Development Administration within the Department of Commerce, advising the Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce on key Presidential initiatives, including Tech Hubs and the Build Back Better Regional Challenge, and coordinate funding from the CHIPS and Science Act to boost regional competitiveness and workforce development. Prior to this, he was the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) where he worked on the National Trade Estimate and managing federal and state relationships. Earlier in his career, Chris was a Consultant and Special Assistant to Ambassador Robert Holleyman at Crowell and Moring International (now known as Crowell Global Advisors), where he focused on U.S. trade policy and digital trade in Southeast Asia.

Chris holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Administration from The London School of Economics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a minor in Economics from The College of William and Mary.
