Overview

Charis Zimmick is a counsel in Crowell & Moring's Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm's Health Care Group. Charis’s extensive experience in both advisory and litigation roles, combined with her deep understanding of health care regulations, positions her as a valuable partner for clients navigating the complexities of the health care industry.

Charis regularly assists health care payers, providers, and other industry clients with legal issues related to ERISA, clinical trials, Medicare and Medicaid, telemedicine, licensing, fraud, waste and abuse, provider reimbursement, mental health parity, and more. She has successfully litigated high-stakes cases before federal and state courts and before commercial arbitration panels.

Charis also maintains a robust pro bono practice. She has represented individuals seeking asylum from over 10 different countries, advocated for victims of domestic abuse in state court proceedings, prepared amicus briefs on federal and state law constitutional issues, and participated in numerous election protection, racial justice, and reproductive rights initiatives.

Before joining Crowell & Moring, Charis clerked for the Honorable Leslie Abrams Gardner of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
