Overview

Ashleigh Kaspari is a litigation associate in Crowell & Moring’s Denver office. Ashleigh’s clients span a wide array of industries, including health care, employment, and consumer products. She has handled employment litigation and complaints before the EEOC, payor-provider matters involving ERISA claims and defenses, state-based claims, and regulatory compliance, and consumer class actions. Clients turn to Ashleigh for counseling and representation in state and federal court for complex commercial business disputes and other litigation matters, as well as for regulatory compliance before state and federal regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Ashleigh worked as a criminal defense investigator in the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender and is a private investigator in the State of Colorado. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado and as co-president of the Latino Law Students Association. She also served as an investigator for the Korey Wise Innocence Project and was a member of an international legal team working to protect Mayan land rights in Belize. She has traveled to the Belize Supreme Court and the Caribbean Court of Justice for litigation on numerous occasions.

Ashleigh is active in her local legal community. She is a board member for the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, a member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado, and a mentor through the Latinas First Foundation.

Crowell & Moring Lawyers Named to Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2024 Fellows and Pathfinder Programs

Leadership Council on Legal Diversity has selected Sima Namiri-Kalantari as a member of its 2024 class of Fellows. In addition, associates Roy Abernathy and Ashleigh Kaspari have been named to the LCLD 2024 class of Pathfinders.

Representative Matters

  • Represented various health plans in disputes totaling tens of millions of dollars with out-of-network providers relating to charges in excess of reasonable and customary amounts.
  • Successfully defended against a plaintiff's ERISA claim for benefits on a motion to dismiss that removed over ninety-five percent of plaintiff's damages.
  • Secured dismissal of consumer class action for pet products manufacturer in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Plaintiff sought $5 million in damages and asserted claims including fraud, breach of warranty, and that the label was misleading under consumer protection statutes
