Washington, D.C. – May 27, 2014: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that the firm's Insurance/Reinsurance Group was nominated to the Chambers & Partners shortlist for the 2014 Chambers USA "Awards for Excellence" in the "Insurance" category. These awards are based on Chambers' research from the 2014 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. The award ceremony was held in New York on May 22, 2014, at the publications' ninth annual event. More than 500 guests attended the gala, which honored the achievements of the United States legal world.

Today the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit issued its much-anticipated decision in Oral Surgeons, P.C. v. Cincinnati Insurance Company, No. 20-3211 (8th Cir. July 2, 2021).  In the first ruling by a federal appellate court on COVID-19 related business interruption claims, the Court found no coverage for losses suffered as a result of the suspension of non-emergency procedures by an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with four Iowa locations.
