Washington – August 15, 2024: The 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® has recognized 42 Crowell & Moring lawyers as "Best Lawyers" and 29 lawyers as “Ones to Watch.”

Washington – June 6, 2024: Crowell & Moring earned 78 rankings for 67 lawyers, as well as 41 national and statewide practice area rankings, in the Chambers USA 2024 guide. The rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and lawyers at peer firms.

New York – January 16, 2024: Linda Malek, Jason Johnson and Blaze Waleski are joining Crowell & Moring’s Health Care and Privacy & Cybersecurity groups and will be based in the New York office.

Washington – November 9, 2023: Michael Shaheen, former trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Commercial Litigation Branch’s Fraud Section, has rejoined Crowell & Moring. Shaheen returns as a partner in the firm’s Health Care Group where he will focus on False Claims Act cases and healthcare fraud and abuse. He will also work closely with members of the firm’s White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement Group.

Washington – December 16, 2019: Crowell & Moring advised Humana Inc. on its proposed acquisition of Enclara Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest hospice pharmacy and benefit management providers, from Consonance Capital Partners. The Enclara acquisition provides Humana with the opportunity to extend its comprehensive care continuum strategy to cover the pharmacy-related needs associated with hospice care, simplify the mail order pharmacy experience, and advance its technology stack for in-home pharmacy through areas such as enhanced mobile medication management and improved electronic medical record (EMR) connectivity.

Washington, D.C. – June 3, 2013: Crowell & Moring LLP has strategically expanded its Health Care Group with the addition of two partners to the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Troy A. Barsky joins the firm from his key policy position with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), where he served as director of the CMS Division of the Technical Payment Policy, Chronic Care Policy Group. In addition, Christine Clements (formerly Christine Rinn), a partner with Crowell & Moring from 2005 to 2011, now returns to the firm from Aetna Inc., where she held the position of chief Medicare counsel.
