Third Thursday: Supreme Court Watch 2020

Webinar | 06.25.20, 8:00 AM EDT - 9:00 AM EDT

Please join us for the next edition of Third Thursday – Crowell & Moring’s Labor and Employment Update, a webinar series dedicated to helping our clients stay on top of developing law and emerging compliance issues.

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued several decisions this year implicating substantive employment and employee benefits law, as well as procedural issues affecting important aspects of employment law litigation. Additional opinions are anticipated before the Court concludes its 2019-2020 Term at the end of June, including on highly watched issues, such as LGBT employment protections under Title VII and the interplay between First Amendment protections and prohibitions on employment discrimination for religious employers.  The Court has also already decided to hear several important cases in the 2020-2021 session, which will impact employment law and employment litigation.

In this month’s program, our panelists will discuss the Court’s opinions and provide a preview of the Court’s docket for next year.

Join Crowell & Moring as we discuss what aspects of contract performance and teaming arrangements are being scrutinized (e.g., size/status eligibility, limitations on subcontracting compliance, reasonableness of market rates, etc.) and how these considerations can impact both small government contractors holding the prime contracts under review and their subcontractors. ...
