Washington, D.C. – September 15, 2014: Crowell & Moring LLP is pleased to announce that Washington, D.C.-based Government Contracts Group partner Peter J. Eyre has been named to the National Law Journal's list of "40 Under 40 Rising Stars." The 2014 list spotlights 40 private, government, and public interest advocacy attorneys—each 40 or under—who are leaders in the law.
The National Law Journal editors note, "Our selection of 40 game-changing lawyers age 40 and under cuts across private, public and advocacy sectors. Chosen from nearly 200 nominations, honorees include former U.S. Supreme Court clerks and White House officials; a lawyer who argued and won her first Supreme Court case at 33; the first Sikh to argue before the high court; the strategist behind a much-talked-about plaintiffs firm reorganization; and a lawyer who led rural training sessions on nondiscriminatory housing policies."
The profile of Eyre describes his practice, which includes a wide range of litigation, counseling, and transactional capabilities, and specifically notes, "Eyre has advised companies that hold contracts for defense, health care and other matters on the risks, regulations and benefits of contracting with the federal government."
In addition to his practice with Crowell & Moring, Eyre serves as the coordinator of the Construction Industry Ethics and Compliance Initiative and helps to lead the firm's education practice.
