Doha – February 2, 2022: LexisNexis Middle East has shortlisted Crowell & Moring’s Denise McLaughlin in the Construction Lawyer of the Year category of the Women in Law Awards in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.

McLaughlin is a senior counsel in the Doha office and focuses her practice on major construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects. She has fifteen years experience in the U.K., Australia, and MENA advising clients on all aspects of contract and construction law, including procurement, legal strategy,managing risks, drafting and negotiating,contract administration and dispute avoidance. McLaughlin advises clients across many sectors including hotels, real estate development and education and has considerable aviation infrastructure experience.

ADL and Crowell Bring Suit to Hold Iran, Syria and North Korea Accountable for Supporting Hamas’ October 7 Terror Attack in Israel

ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) and Crowell & Moring LLP today filed a federal lawsuit alleging Iran, Syria and North Korea provided material support to Hamas that enabled it to commit atrocities in Israel on October 7, 2023, that killed, injured, and terrorized scores of U.S. citizens and their families, and seeking financial compensation under applicable federal and local laws. The suit names over 125 plaintiffs, including U.S. citizens who were injured or killed as a result of the October 7 attack, and immediate family members of those injured or killed.
