Latinas First Foundation Awards 50 Scholarships and Honors Eight Trailblazers and Unsung Heroes

Denver – September 30, 2022: The Latinas First Foundation recently hosted its 2022 luncheon, “Raise a Banner to Latinas,” at which 50 women received college scholarships and eight “Trailblazers” and “Unsung Heroines” were honored. Meshach Rhoades, managing partner of Crowell & Moring’s Denver office, is a co-founder of Latinas First. The event drew 750 attendees.
Established in 2011 by Rhoades and Juanita Chacon, the Latinas First Foundation was created to provide a critical network and support for Latinas to reach their highest potential. The organization provides scholarships, mentorship and networking opportunities, and honors Latina Trailblazers and Unsung Heroines. The Latinas First Foundation celebrates and elevates the Latina community by focusing on the cultural and historical contributions of Latinas in Colorado while providing opportunities and resources for the next generation of Latinas.
