David Lindner Elected to Public Interest Law Initiative Board of Directors in Chicago

Chicago – May 22, 2023: Crowell & Moring partner David Lindner has been elected to the Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Board of Directors in Chicago.

Lindner is experienced in all facets of patent protection, including litigation, counsel, and U.S. and foreign prosecution. In addition to his IP practice, he is a member of Crowell’s Public Service Committee and is actively involved with various local legal aid agencies, assisting pro bono clients with non-IP issues. Lindner is committed to assisting individuals of limited means to strengthen the community and provide equal justice for all. In May 2019, he received the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Federal Bar Association Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service.

Through its programs, PILI’s mission is to engage, inspire, and empower those advancing equal access to justice. The organization facilitates collaboration among the Illinois legal community to create a more accessible justice system for all. Crowell was named to PILI’s 2022 Pro Bono Recognition Roster for its contributions to providing free legal services to economically challenged individuals, families, and communities. ADL and Crowell Bring Suit to Hold Iran, Syria and North Korea Accountable for Supporting Hamas’ October 7 Terror Attack in Israel

ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) and Crowell & Moring LLP today filed a federal lawsuit alleging Iran, Syria and North Korea provided material support to Hamas that enabled it to commit atrocities in Israel on October 7, 2023, that killed, injured, and terrorized scores of U.S. citizens and their families, and seeking financial compensation under applicable federal and local laws. The suit names over 125 plaintiffs, including U.S. citizens who were injured or killed as a result of the October 7 attack, and immediate family members of those injured or killed.
