New York – November 21, 2016: Crowell & Moring LLP is proud to announce that the Lawyers Alliance for New York has honored partner Paul J. Pollock with its 2016 Cornerstone Award. This recognition honors organizations and individuals whose exceptional pro bono efforts have helped nonprofit and community development organizations improve the quality of life for thousands of low-income New Yorkers.

Pollock was recognized for his work with STRIVE International, which delivers comprehensive job training, social services, and career development for the hardest-to-employ workers, including formerly incarcerated individuals, long-term public assistance recipients, disconnected youth, the homeless, recovering addicts, and unskilled and under-educated laborers. He has also worked with the Lorraine Monroe Leadership Institute to navigate the dissolution process, and recently began assisting the Violence Intervention Program, a nonprofit organization working with Latina victims of domestic violence, with reviewing and negotiating a contract with the New York City Human Resources Administration.

The Cornerstone Awards were presented on November 17, 2016 in New York City. Since 1997, the Lawyers Alliance has honored outstanding contributions in pro bono business and transactional legal services at the annual event.
