New York – June 22, 2022: Crowell & Moring has launched Crypto Digest, a new blog focused on educating readers on the legal issues and the financial and operational risks relating to investing in and trading digital assets. The Crypto Digest provides investors with important guidance on the digital asset eco-system as they face increased regulatory oversight from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodities and Futures Trading Commission.

At a time when the market is constantly shifting and fraught with turmoil, the Crypto Digest will not only address the current atmosphere, but also examine potential risks and relevant regulations that investors need to understand as they embrace cryptocurrency. Crowell & Moring lawyers from a variety of practice areas will be contributing to the blog, including members of the Financial Services, Corporate, Bankruptcy & Restructuring, White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement, Privacy & Cybersecurity, Trade, and Tax groups.

“Cryptocurrency has become a fully recognized asset class and institutions will need to continue to adapt to the shifting market, while remaining cognizant of the developing regulatory landscape ,” said Richard J. Lee, partner in the Financial Services Group. “The Crypto Digest aims to provide actionable insights to investors seeking to understand their risks and obligations when engaging in the cryptocurrency market, as well as to companies dealing with transitioning to a crypto-forward business model.”

Some of the first posts to the Crypto Digest include an overview of cryptocurrency trading agreements, as well lessons to be learned from the recent cryptocurrency bankruptcy case of Cred, Inc.

Demand for radioisotopes is expected to increase significantly over the next decade, while global supply struggles to keep pace due to aging reactor infrastructure and a fragmented global supply chain, which at present is dominated by countries outside the United States. Atomic Alchemy intends to be a low-cost U.S. radioisotope producer that can provide a secure and domestic supply of radioisotopes to U.S. companies commercializing innovative radioisotope applications. With its proprietary VIPR® technology, Atomic Alchemy is building the first scalable production facility to provide a reliable, sustainable source of high-value radioisotopes. Using a vertically integrated model and fuel recycling, in partnership with Oklo, Atomic Alchemy is transforming isotope production to address global shortages, support critical applications, and strengthen national security. The core deal team included Samuel Holland Edwards, Jon O’Connell, Justin Lurie, and Ryan Flynn....
