Washington – October 29, 2021: Crowell & Moring has joined the Human Rights Campaign’s Business Coalition for the Equality Act, a collection of over 400 major organizations fighting to win protections for the LGBTQ+ community. The coalition represents over 14.6 million employees and includes businesses that operate in all 50 states.
“We are honored to join the Business Coalition for the Equality Act, in support of a bill that will prohibit discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community in the United States,” said Philip T. Inglima, chair of Crowell & Moring. “We feel strongly that equal rights and protections for the LGBTQ+ community are the baseline expectation, and that establishing this foundation is key to our continued fostering of an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment for our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve.”
For the last 11 years, Crowell & Moring has also received a score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, its national benchmarking survey and report that rates companies based on their corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality.
